Of all the dazzling figures that marked the Elizabethan era, none was more brilliant and none more surrounded by mystery than Kit Marlowe, the first great playwright in the English language. Scholar, poet, daredevil, spy, brawler, lover, rebel, the toast of London at 20, he left a body of work that shines through the ages and some of the most intriguing unanswered questions in European history. Marlowe is a tense, dramatic recreation of the crucial decade in a  life lived at the heights and on the edge.

DONALD T. BELDOCK is an inventor, investor, actor and playwright. He is a graduate of Yale College where he was an actor in the Dramatic Society and a drama critic for the Yale Daily News. He performed at the St. Felix Street Playhouse in Brooklyn and the Putnam County Playhouse (summer stock) in Croton Falls, NY. Shadow, Donald’s second play, was presented by Showcase Theatre in 2005. His first play was given a staged reading by The Irish Repertory Theatre lin December of 2004. He has completed a total of six plays and his most recent play, Marlowe, is this year’s winner of the W Keith Hedrick Playwrighting Contest and will be presented as the final production of the season on May 12th 2007. Donald and his wife have three children and live in NYC.
