The play takes place in the world of clinical research and testing and the controversies that exist in this world. Aaron Seplow, a maverick medical researcher at a prestigious university, is on the verge of making a discovery of immense importance and isn’t about to let academic and federal restrictions on human trials get in his way. But the dean of the medical center is more interested in protecting the university’s reputation than achieving a breakthrough that ultimately could save thousands if not millions of lives.

DONALD C. DRAKE is this year’s winner of the W Keith Hedrick Playwrighting Contest. His plays have been produced and showcased at the Brick,Hedge-row, Walnut Street and Wilma theaters in Pennsylvania, Love Creek Productions and Lark Theatre Company in New York City, Playwright's Center in Palm Springs, Ca. and Plays in Progress in California. He has had staged readings throughout the country and is a winner of several national playwriting competitions, including the O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference. He is a former reporter and narrative editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer, where he used playwriting techniques to tell news stories. He is a member of the Philadelphia Dramatists Center and the Dramatists Guild of America.
